Yesterday was the summer solstice for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. How did you celebrate the arrival of summer and the longest day of the year?
Spending more time in the car than ever before. 700 miles of travel and I don't like it! :)
What did you learn in kindergarten that you wish you did a better job of applying to the way you live your life today?
In kindergarten I learned to not put too much paint on a picture or it cracks and the picture is ruined. Essentially that equates to everything in moderation. Boy I wish I had applied that to my life!
What's on your holiday wishlist?
Clarity. ;o)
What is the best present you have ever given?

A DVD I made for my daughter Michelle. Maybe she'll even comment. It was made right after my mother died and I realized I was now the 'matriarch' of our family. I made a digital record of the women who came before her in our family, sort of a digital family tree with regard to the females, all the ones with pictures, anyway.
The reason I think it was the best gift was because I took time, put in effort, created a decent piece of work and it meant something to who I gave it to. Those sorts of gifts are the best. Always.

13 and his name was Jim. I was friends with his sister. I have no idea what happened to him. I saw his sister a few years ago but we didn't talk about him.
Of course, there was a boy when I was in elementary, but I didn't like him. He liked me. He gave me a necklace with a peace sign on it. Maybe grade 2? LOL
Which friend or acquaintance most influenced your taste in music?

Probably who most influenced my taste in music was a high school music teacher. He was a big fan of mine. He taught me about jazz, and I haven't stopped loving it since.
